A listserv provides timely, informational resource for adult leaders who promote the Golden Sower Award program.  Whether it is information about when the new nominee list will be posted or sending a gentle reminder of approaching deadlines, the Golden Sower listserv will be a helpful tool.

Messages from the GoldenSower listserv will appear in your email.  The Golden Sower committee plans to utilize the listserv sporadically, posting information applicable to the annual time line. How active the listserv becomes depends on you--the subscribers.

 Subscribing to the GoldenSower listserv bu opening a web browser to the URL <http://lists.unomaha.edu/mailman/listinfo/goldensower>. Complete the section of the web form entitled, Subscribing to GoldenSower.

Provide your email address, select a password of your choice, retype the password to confirm accuracy, and click the Subscribe button.  One other question is asked regarding batch mailings from the listserv.  Receiving one "daily digest" is appropriate for very active listservs rather than being flooded with individual listserv messages.  Without knowing the listserv's activity, the default is currently set to no.

Once the listserv has received a subscription request, a confirmation message is sent to the identified email address.  Subscribers MUST finish subscribing to the listserv by replying to this message. If a reply is not returned or one decides not to subscribe, simply disregarding the message will negate the subscription.

After successfully subscribing, a welcome message will be returned.  This message should be saved or printed because it provides valuable information about unsubscribing or changing a password, as well as listing the chosen password. Send questions about the list to goldensower-admin@lists.unomaha.edu.

Any subscriber wishing to send a message to the entire membership of the list can send email to goldensower@lists.unomaha.edu. This listserv has been specifically created for Golden Sower Award adults who promote the program.
