Heat by Mike Lupica is a very well written and exciting story about a 12-year-old baseball pitcher who can throw very fast. After his father mysteriously dies, Michael has to make up excuses for his father's absence at games. When other teams' coaches start getting suspicious about Michaels's age, they write a letter to the Little League officials saying that he shouldn't be allowed to play. |
